Missed phone call.

Hello, firstly, I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I've had a missed call from DWP, followed by a text message saying they want to speak to me about my pip claim, following a MR request a few weeks ago.
I've seen posts on here where claimants get called to verify circs. and bank details before an award / payment. My question is, would they call if my MR was unsuccessful? Or to ask for additional info. for my MR? Thanks. Mr Impatient.
