I’m wondering that pip stop payment I know they stop it 28 days after hospital but do you have to go through assessment again after you have already been awarded? Or do they just pause the claim and you ring up and they start paying you again? I’m wondering the process, as I may have to go into hospital again.. and have been awarded for five years it took 6-9 months to get my first payment and backdate…

Your PIP claim remains open, it is simply the payment that is suspended. When you leave hospital you simply need to inform DWP and payments will then be resumed.1

It's just suspended as calcotti advised. Once you're out of hospital you need to ring them and payments will start back again. Rules haven't changed.
