I’m currently claiming UC and Carers Allowance, I care for my partner who claims UC and PIP. We’ve decided that it would make more sense for me to move in with him and give up my property, so now are looking for information on making a joint claim and how our benefits will be effected.

Good afternoon @Loubutty 79 and welcome to the online community it's good to have you on board.
Are you claiming any other benefits other than those you mention. When you say you are claiming UC and Carers Allowance I take it that your UC is reduced by the amount of the Carers Allowance but that you receive carers element in your UC. Do you have any children who will be living with you. When you say that you plan to give up your property do you mean that you will give notice on your tenancy or are you planning on selling? Is your partner renting or does he own his property.
You may find it useful to use an online benefits calculator to see how much UC you are entitled to.
