Hi i'm still having trouble with UC and the LCWRA, i was awarded it in June, i've put in 2 complaints and asked for a MR regarding them telling me I have to be in the lcwra group for 6 months before i get a payment and that no back payment will be owed, I'm confused, frustrated and stressed, i asked for this weeks ago and they just ignore my pleas in my UC journey, i don't know what to do, how long do they usually take to make a decision? any help appreciated :(

MR decisions can take 2-12 weeks. Did you contact your local MP as advised on your previous thread?

no, i dont have a great relationship with her regarding a personal matter so wouldn't feel comfortable speaking to her and I'm not sure it would help

I think it's really positive that you're able to identify what you don't think will help @nattyb. It is often through ruling out what won't help that we can narrow down to what might help.

What, if anything, do you think might help things to feel more manageable for you at the moment? We are here for you and listening to you  :)

You can look back on your journal to see exactly when you reported the health condition. Though i don't understand how a fit note was given before reporting a health condition. When reporting a health condition you should do it through "reporting a change of circumstances"

ok... i think thats where i went wrong, i have been off sick since february but didnt upload first sick note until april as i didnt know about LCWRA or what it was until then, the UC advisor told me i needed to upload fit notes to start my health journey , i was only told to report a change in june! i presumed after i'd uploaded continuous fit notes that i'd done everything i needed to do to start the claim but i hadn't as i wasn't told how to until june.
