Going to this attraction with family. Went once before and got chased with a chainsaw, much fun1

I did a Halloween party last year at home with grandkids and family, I don't think I will this year

Me neither Cartini. I try get out on halloween though as my street gets very busy and saves me the annoyance, bought a big bag of sweets once and put them in a bucket outside but gone in 10 minutes.1

@Grinchy I always enjoy the spooky movies. I'm watching the x files right now some scary episodes 👻👻
@woodbine I've never enjoyed the fireworks. I do like the big bonfire and people gathered around on a cold night.
@bg844 hopefully you can bring your own chainsaw this year 😜
@Sandy_123 I'd like to go to a Halloween party this year I haven't been to one in years. But I also enjoy just watching some scary movies and and a takeaway lol
@cartini I usually leave a bowl of sweets and chocs at the door there's nothing left when I check later in the night🤣 probs someone just takes them all🤷1 -
Yeah I wouldn't mind going to a adults one at a venue somewhere1

I'm more focused on xmas this year looking for deals1

Given me idea to put bucket of sweets out but fill it with jelly and just few sweets to cover the jelly1
-
@janer1967 that's delightfully devilish haw haw haw (supposed to be an evil laugh)
Might do that this year aswel 👹😈👺0 -
I will get some treats for kiddies knocking the door. I always engage with them saying things like omg your so scary etc1
-
@Sandy_123 that's the original way of doing it. Just too many people knocking on my door rather just leave the sweets outside 🙂0
-
I don't mind tho as long as its not a real scary monster1

I don’t open the door unless expecting someone and even then I find it hard and often don’t.My family don’t mind opening the door and giving out sweets to young children and like @Sandy_123 they say things to them like “you scared me!!”.
However they are not keen on older children/teenagers knocking for sweets. I think their unofficial rule is if the kids are old enough to be out alone without an adult, they are too old to go trick-or-treating.1 -
Yeah I agree lol. I will pick some sweets up next time I'm out.1
-
I really like the autumn and the long lead up to Christmas but we don’t put sweets out for the kids, especially not this year because I’m on a diet. Perhaps they’d enjoy some carrot sticks instead? 🤣1

I bought some last year in case we had any visitors, but no one came round. Which meant that we ended up eating a load of sweets ourselves!2
