Tribunal or Adult Disability Payment?

Hi I received a letter today my MR failed but I’m not surprised after reading the stories on here. My question is should I take it to tribunal or since I live in Scotland should I just apply for The Adult Disability Payment? I don’t really want to wait over a year for a tribunal, I need money sooner.
Thanks

If you applied for ADP then it would only be paid from the date you rang to start your claim. If you took the PIP decision to Tribunal (which is very unlikely to take a whole year) and if awarded you will be owed money from the start of your claim.
I have no idea how long claims are currently taking for ADP.

    Thank you
If I can get ADP sooner then I’m not bothered about the back pay. I’m just not sure what to do

Also I’ve read a lot of stories on here where people have waited over 12 months for tribunal

That would be 12 months since applying for PIP, not 12 months for a Tribunal date. There hasn't been backlogs for that length of time since Covid began. Waiting times are much quicker now.
Only you can decide what you want to do.

You can also request the Tribunal for the PIP decision and then start a claim for ADP. If the Tribunal make an award then you will your be paid from the date you rang to start your claim up until the day before your ADP claim started.

Is it better to apply online for tribunal or through the post?
