Hi All
I have a young disabled adult daughter(26) with quad CP, ASD, challenging behaviour, needs full time 1:1 care and sometimes 2, associated health issues and ModerateLD,self harms . I am a divorced ,single MUM of 5 and a busy household , full time carer and my daughter is on a CHC. We have 2 people who are long term employee PA's. I have asked CCG/LA to employ me but obvs that is going to be a battle but also i have a carers assessment which is giving me quite a bit of respite but there is nowhere for my daughter to go ,certainly not comfortably local. never ending waiting list for a place that id love her to go to and realistically not much else unless we got to Liverpool ! ant advice or recommendations for lively young adult environment facilities would be fab !
also anybody out there managed to secure employment as their child's carer would be interesting too .
Cheers
Andrea
