hello i am disabled i have no family or surport i have 3 things wat need to go to recyle tip any one can help me please

    Have you done a search for your local area to see if anyone can collect them?

    Your local authority should have a service that deals with this. Phone them on Monday.

    yes i do i have eplisey heart problem i have no family or surport whats so ever but i have been trying to take 3 items to the recyle site in burtwood but the council wont help me with them they said they dont move items any more and i have a old moblily scooter out side wat needs recyle it does start up it just as problems going forward i have tryed free reclycle but the guy dont come and get it i have contracted him 5 times

    I'm sorry to hear that @keith1976 that's frustrating, as you're just trying to do the right thing. Did the council let you know about any other organisations or charities local to you who could help out? 

    Failing that, perhaps a local community centre might be able to assist? Do you have any neighbours close by who could help?

    I had a quick look and I think the recycling centre in Burntwood is closed at the moment: 

    Burntwood Household Waste Recycling Centre will be temporarily closed from 16 September 2022 at 6pm until late October 2022 for upgrade and refurbishment.

    Throughout the temporary closure, residents can recycle their household waste at the nearby Lichfield or Cannock Household Waste Recycling Centres which will be open as usual. 

    There is an option to contact the recycling team at Staffordshire County Council, particularly for residents that don’t drive or have a vehicle, but it sounds like you've already been in touch, is that right?

    Have you been able to speak to your GP about what you're able to manage day to day? They might be able to make a referral for a needs assessment, to help make sure you're getting enough support. 

    If you feel we can support you further with anything, please don't hesitate to ask.

    i have been down that road with them social services wont help they wont give me suport i have been in touch with the mp and made a complait but they still wont help
