How can I contact universal credits without phoning them. I have social anxiety. Plus my phone has been cut off.

Do you have access to a journal? If so you can put a message on there.

Hi there @Nmcleod20 and thanks for reaching out, hopefully you'll be able to get in touch with them using your journal, but let us know if you're still unsure of anything.

I'm sorry to hear your phone has been cut off. Do you mind me asking why, and if we can help support you with anything?

    Alex

My phone has been cut off because I couldn’t afford my bill this month. I can’t even log into my account because it’s saying they will send me a text with a code but because my phone has been cut off I can’t receive the text.

That’s where two part authentication gets absurd! Is there any possibility of getting the authentication by email?

There's no email address that i know of. The only other way is the Relay UK service, which is for those that can't speak or hear.

If you cannot speak or hear on the phone

You can use the Relay UK service (opens in new tab) to make a text-supported call to the Universal Credit helpline.

Find out more about using Relay UK (opens in new tab).

From your laptop, desktop or mobile

Download the Relay UK app (opens in new tab). Once you have set up the app, dial 18001 followed by the Universal Credit helpline. If you are redirected to your device's default calls app, return to the Relay UK app to join the call.

    From your textphone device

    Dial 18001 followed by 0800 328 1344.
