Written report received after four weeks

Hi, looking for some lived experience with PIP please :) 

I applied in June, and had a telephone assessment on 27th Sept, I have received the automated text this morning to say that DWP have received the written report of my PIP assessment etc. 

i was just wondering if that length of time is indicative or grant or refusal or whether it’s the norm? 

Side note: the way that PIP tags are in the most popular tag field on this forum are a sad indication of a broken system :( 

grateful of any experience shared!

    Completely normal. Your report will of been in audit which is basically the assessment providers checking the quality of the report. This does seem to be happening frequently lately judging on other members posts.

    As bg844 has said, this should't mean anything positive or negative about your claim. 

    We do indeed get a lot of posts about PIP. It's worth remembering that we get a negative view of the system, as people are less likely to post about positive experiences, but there are certainly many improvements that could be made to the system!

    Ahh thank you, I think I expected the written assessment to be sent back quicker than four weeks, but I know that it is a lengthy process. 

    The assessment was ok… I keep thinking of things that I should have said as I do them or come across obstacles. I am someone who does everything to appear “well” as many with long term health conditions are, but I am frequently becoming more aware of the adaptations I have made in day to day life to make things easier. 

    It is out of my control, and I am prepared for MR route, but it’s just frustrating especially with the extra cost of having a disability becoming more prevalent in the current climate!

    Being in audit prevents the report being returned because it can't be returned until the audit is completed and there's no timescales how long it can remain there.
