Can esa just be stopped without warning

Hi I applied for a budgeting loan and they sent me a email tonight (a week after applying) that I'm not in receipt of a qualifying benefit? Now I terrified that my esa has been stopped as I've had a budgeting loan about 3 months ago with no problems, now I'm worried my esa has been took off me. Can they do that just take it without warning or has anyone else had this outcome from a budgeting loan and it just be a mistake? I'm terrified and we are already struggling massively.

I think it’s a mistake, you can contact ESA to make sure. I’m not sure if you’d be eligible for one only having one 3 months ago. I may be wrong but it is a valid argument for them not to give one.0

Which ESA are you claiming? Income Related, New Style/contributions based? Are you sure it was a budgeting loan you applied for 3 months ago?You can apply for another even if you have a loan still outstanding that needs to be paid back. There's a maximum amount of loan you can have at any one time, how much that is will depend on your circumstances.0

Income related ESA and yes it was definitely a budgeting loan, it states the reason I cannot get one is because I don't have a qualifying benefit which has terrified me as I'm now thinking have I lost my Esa? I got paid it last Monday and I'm due it again next Monday. I'm a nervous wreck about it. Can they just stop it for no reason?1

I would phone ESA to make sure that it's not a mistake. Otherwise you'll be panicking. Make sure you didn't apply for a budgeting advance which is for UC0
