Pip assessment

Hi,
I've had my pip assessment - it was a lot sooner than I thought it would be.
The assessment was on Monday (31st) and I got a text this morning from the DWP to say they have received my report.
How do I go about requesting a copy of the report to be posted to me?
I'm hoping for the best, but as I've just received an email to say I have been rejected for a Blue Badge from my local council, I'm really expecting the worst outcome.
I can appeal the Blue Badge decision, but I don't think it would change the outcome. But if I've scored enough points on the mobility section of Pip then I can automatically qualify for one.
So now I'm anxious twice over about the Pip decision

You need to ring PIP for a copy of the report. Telephone: 0800 121 4433
Textphone: 0800 121 4493
Relay UK (if you cannot hear or speak on the phone): 18001 then 0800 121 4433
British Sign Language (BSL) video relay service if you’re on a computer - find out how to use the service on mobile or tablet
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pmHowever, it's not always the best idea to request it because it often causes more needless anxiety, especially if it's not what you expected to read. Do remember that it's not the decision, it's a recommendation. Decision for your PIP can take between 2-12 weeks.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
Would it be best to wait until I know the decision, and then request it if I need to submit an MR (so I know what areas I need to focus on)?
Is there a deadline for requesting the report?0 -
You don't need the report to request the MR if you need to go down that route. There's no deadline to request it.

Thank you0

Well, I've clearly got very little self-control.
Despite deciding to wait until I've received my decision, I couldn't help myself and requested the report
I have mixed feelings about how the assessment actually went, so we'll see if the report is an accurate reflection0 -
I hope receiving the report doesn't make you feel any more anxious @kalib! I can see why it'd be tempting. Let us know how you get on

Thanks
I called for it yesterday afternoon and it came in the post today. Surprisingly quick.
If the decision maker goes with the report, I will have scored 9 points in the daily living and 4 for mobility.
It's disappointing as things I talked about weren't included in the report at all, and I think they would have been enough to score a few more points. Especially in the mobility section.
For example, the assessor makes a statement about how they believe I can walk a certain distance but doesn't give a reason why they chose this descriptor. But in our discussion, I'm clear about why I can't walk that distance, what treatments I've had etc. But none of it mentioned.
And in several descriptors, it is mentioned I don't access mental health services so can't be anxious or stressed. Whilst it is true that I don't use any of these through my GP, I have a private therapist who I have been seeing for 2 years now who helps me manage my stress and anxiety. I made this very clear to the assessor, but there is zero mention of it in the report
But I know I'm going to go for an MR, so I've started to gather some extra evidence. It has definitely been a learning curve

You are welcome @KaliB. It is the very least you deserve.
It sounds really positive that it came surprisingly quickly. Though, it sounds frustrating that things you talked about that could have added points were not included.
I can hear that you know you are going to go for an MR. How are you feeling about the idea of going for an MR at the moment?
What, if anything, do you think might help things to improve moving forwards? We are all here for you and listening to you if you would like to share more with us.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if we can do anything to support you. You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to0
