Hi, thought I would pop by and share my pip experience.  Applied for pip on the 1st of September, telephone assessment on 17th October, decision made, and text received to say awarded pip on 1st November.  Today backdate payment received of £715 unsure on what rates i have been awarded but ringing the automated telephone line it is saying my next payment will be on 25th Nov of £247.40 which equates to the lowest rate @£61.85 and no mobility but that doesn't seem to add up to the back payment? could anyone help in working this out please?

The automated payment line has been known to give incorrect information so you shouldn't rely on this.
Based on the amount of money you were owed your award could be standard for both or Enhanced for daily living, it depends when the cut off date was for the money you received. You will either need to wait for the decision or you can ring PIP and ask them.

    That’s an incredibly quick decision.

Thank you very much for the response .. am I right in thinking I should receive the decision letter within 2 weeks? @poppy123456

@calcotti it is indeed, I was shocked at how quick everything was processed. Hopefully those applied have a super quick process too

Welcome to the community @laher12345 :) Great news on your PIP claim! That certainly seems very quick. I'm glad that you weren't left waiting.

How did you find the telephone assessment?

Thank you, was pretty anxious at the start of it but felt at ease as it went on, lasted 1hour 20mins which seemed to go pretty quick .. just awaiting the decision letter to see what I have been awarded and then see if I am happy with the initial decision @Tori_Scope
