State Pension and PIP do not automatically entitle you to free dental treatment. If you're claiming Pension credit you will be entitled. If not then you can apply for the NHS low income scheme but you will need to fill out a form and wait for the decision before any treatment. https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/help-with-health-costs/nhs-low-income-scheme-lis/

Welcome to the community @legless1 :) I hope that poppy123456's comment has helped. Have you had a chance to take a look at the link?

Are you having dental problems at the moment?

Have a read of the link i posted for the low Income scheme but you will need to fill out the form and wait for a decision before claiming for any possible treatment.

I can imagine that'd make it difficult to eat @legless1. Have you found other ways of being able to consume the calories you need?

Neither have I for the past 22 years. You learn to suck your food.

The problem is finding a dentist that will take on NHS patients the first place never mind getting the treatment for free

I'm desperate for treatment but can't afford to go private I would be eligible for free treatment but would be happy to pay nhs price if I could find one
