Mobility scooter storage ideas?

Just wondering if any of you may have suggestions/ideas for storing a mobility scooter to the front of a property please. Key requirements are that it can only be approx 1 metre tall, so no full sized sheds, needs to be secure as the scooter costs around £4k, and most importantly my friend needs to be able to transfer to his wheelchair from the scooter which seems to be the tricky part. Are there any wonderful inventions out there?

Hello @eh1986 and welcome, thanks for your query.
When I lived elsewhere and had to store my powerchair outside, we used a metal container which was lockable. After a while though the locks became unusable being so exposed to the elements, they were in danger of rusting shut. Something to bear in mind!
Additionally, as there was a lip at the bottom of the container, we built a small concrete ramp and padded out the bottom with a wooden board, so that it was flush with the ramp.
Have a search for garden containers and see what you can find, they do cost a fair bit, but having a layer of protection for your chair when storing it outdoors can make a big difference to it's lifespan.
If there's anything else we can help with, let us know

Kurust will prevent and cure rust. Metal boxes possibly are best but put more than one fixing, and a security light, (and remember baddies may use the box for access to upper windows if any) Is indoor storing completely impossible? It is going to need to go in to get charged isn't it?1

It sounds daft but online you can buy lockable storage containers for your wheelie bins that will fit a mobility scooter in them. They are lightweight and made of plastic and you can easily fit extra locks onto them to make them more secure. This is the idea that I had when I first got my scooter. I think it cost me about £130 or something like that and due to the size of my scooter I have to fold the seat down to fit it inside and drill a hole in the side to fit the charger.1
