Hi all..
I had an interesting conversation with my daughter's work coach yesterday, she told me that a friend of hers who gives advice on benefits had to fill in a UC50 form for a family member and it took her 5 hours! - Only 5 hours?
I've been going through this paperwork for days!
It always takes me a couple of hours a day for at least 2 weeks when I have previously filled in DWP forms for both of my girls..
I'm really curious about this, how long did it take for you to fill in a DWP form for benefits?
Thanks for reading 😊

I use my computer to type notes first and do a little at a time each day. Once I’ve done all I need I will type it all again and then print it out. It can take at least a couple of weeks for me to do that. When using the computer I keep what I’ve written and can use some of that each time I fill out the form and can change anything that’s needed.0

That's pretty much what I do too @poppy123456 and I always keep hard copies for reference.
Unfortunately, I also think being (post) menopausal makes me doubt my ability to get it right (brain fog etc) so I'm constantly questioning what I've written! 🤔
But, five hours to complete is rather quick, but I suppose as a benefits advisor your time is limited for the person you help.
Thanks again, it's nice to know it's not just me that takes a bit of time to ponder over these forms..
Have a nice weekend 😊0 -

My daughter did have a telephone assessment for her WCA, which i did on her behalf. It's always difficult to put yourself in their shoes so to speak.
It has been known for people to receive the form and return it on the same dayMy son is coming to visit today for 5 days so i'm very excited to see him! Have a lovely weekend too.0 -
I will thank you 😁
And, the same day? 😱
Dear oh dear my poor brain can't begin to contemplate that! - hoping for a paper based decision or telephone assessment to be honest, but we'll see..
My eldest moved out this year, she's not far away but it's always lovely when she comes to visit, her sisters (we have 4 daughters) do miss her terribly though..
Have fun and don't let your son eat the contents of your fridge in the first hour! 😂
(they always do though!! 😉)
