What do you think is the best feeling ever?

Here are some of mine:
  • Being in love (cheesy!)
  • Drinking cold water when you're really thirsty
  • Taking a breath of fresh air on a crisp day

That's a good one @Teddybear12 :) I'm sure that many people who've had children will feel the same!

@Tori_Scope I don’t think being in love is cheesy, and would have to agree, or possibly being loved or being able to give it.
The best feeling ever so far was reaching the age when I realised that the only opinion of me that mattered was mine. (How’s that for cheese.)
It’s pretty much affected every aspect of my life though.

Ahhhh, but the cold water is pretty darn close too - After being stuck in traffic on a motorway, on the hottest day of the year and all you’ve had to eat and drink is dark chocolate and an espresso!

Agree re kids, but I can’t really attribute one feeling to fatherhood or when I first saw him. 8 years later I’m still figuring that one out.

That's another good one @mack8888! I don't think it's cheesy. I think it's a positive part of growing up, and something that can definitely make a difference to how you live your life (within reason!).

Absolutely. I was stuck on a broken train during the hottest day of the year a few years back. That first sip of non-rationed, cold water was heavenly!

That's another good one @ada :) There's something lovely about being near open water.

For me it was seeing my then wife for the first time after a 9 month world deployment on HMS Amazon in 1986.

Getting it right, especially with diy, getting something spot on, smooth, upright or just lacquered to perfection.

Same with music, getting the beat, the groove and the exact right notes.

not forgetting that satisfied feeling after eating a hot stew on a cold November evening.

Being in woodland in snug clothing when the first hard fine snow falls on dry leaves and just standing still, listening to the glorious sounds.

just some of my favourite things.
