Hi, just looking for a bit of advice.
So I’ve recently got myself a little online freelancing job (expecting to earn around £100 per month) and registered as self employed today. I currently receive Standard Mobility PIP due to rarely being able to leave the house, and when I do never being able to do so alone due to my mental health conditions.

Is that okay? Registering as self employed while on PIP? Thankfully my new little job can be done from home so leaving the house isn’t an issue. Also I told the person who did my assessment that I was looking for WFH jobs and she included it in my report when coming to a final decision.

You do not need to tell PIP. It’s only a change of circumstances if your daily living and mobility activities have significantly changed. It’s not means tested either so does not matter if you work or not/the amount of savings you have.

Ah okay, thank you! That’s what I thought - the reason I get PIP is because I rarely leave the house due to my conditions. That hasn’t changed as this job is WFH. Just wanted a bit of reassurance really as I know some benefits change depending on whether you work.0
