@Sandy_123 was just joking about the lockdown thing but we are going to turn lights off, not use the kettle etc.
It’s just a trial and on certain days they are going to pay us per KW that we don’t use at peak times as apparently it’s cheaper to pay people to use less than it is to fire up the reserve power stations to cope with demand.1 -
It sounds good, fill a flask up 4 hot drinks will stay hot for hours use torches for lights there's a thing I seen recently, I don't know what ghere called, but u charge it up and power appliances from it suppose to last several hours. So could use it for tv phones etc0

Yeah I have one of those, like an external battery, just for my phone though. Maybe need to get a ,ore powerful one for my laptop and other things.0
-
Might be worth looking into it I'm thinking of also getting one0
-
Couldn't get the boiler to fire up. Reset it 10 times finally on last try it worked0
-
Oh no @Sandy_123
I hope that's just a one off.
Hopefully not an expensive problem at this time of year and in the current climate.

Good morning everyone woken yet again by neighbours after a quiet week from them last week
I'm going to have to say something can't go on like.this1 -
Morning @janer1967 do you see much of the neighbours so you know what type of people they are, it's not fair to have that sort of music booming, xx1

Hello everyone.
I have the opticians today, hopefully I will get some nice new glasses. I think I will need a slightly stronger lens as through my current glasses things in the far distance look a little bit blurry.
It will be nice to have 2 pairs of glasses then I can keep 1 pair (the stronger pair) in the car for driving.1 -
Morning all, good luck at optitions @66Mustang
I know how you feel with the music @janer1967, my next door is blasting Jesus songs and singing above it, usually lasts all day when they start.
I know it will be different music but still annoying.

It's just the gas fire in the living room @SueHeath,the heating's fine and we've got a wood burner in the sitting room.
It's something that needs to be sorted though because I'm toying with the idea of putting the house on the market next spring.1
