Hi @stuart58 goodness trust your good knee to go too.
Its hard to say what other work because I don't know what your limitations are. You could try for pip, its more how your health effects you then diagnosis. There are other benefits too, one of our great benefit members will give you great advice on those.
Also welcome to the forum0 -
Thanks will investigate the benifits a bit further.
apreciate the welcome0 -
Welcome to the community @stuart58
Thank you for joining us!
I'm sorry to hear about your knee and foot injuries. I hope that the treatment all goes well.
In terms of benefits, you might like to use a free online benefits calculator (Turn2Us) to see what you may be able to claim, as it'll depend on your circumstances.
As for other work you could do, I'm wondering if you might like to access one of our employment services? I'm sure one of our friendly advisers would be happy to try and help
Beyond that, you could try making a list of your skills and qualifications, and see what other kinds of jobs could fit with that, if that makes sense. So, for example, if you've got bookkeeping or administrative experience through being an electrician, that could be an option for you.
The National Careers Service also has some information on career path and progression for those who've been an electrician:Career path and progressionLook at progression in this role and similar opportunities.
With experience, you could:- become an electrical design engineer
- become a site or project manager
- set up your own business
- train apprentices or teach in further education
