Hello I was wondering if anyone can help me please. I am moving into my own flat (low level support) which is funded by housing benefit. I need to have a care package to qualify to be there which us funded by the council. (My social worker does paperwork) I am entitled to section 117 aftercare. Can I still claim pip for the daily living component or would I not be eligible? Thanking everyone fir any information in advance 🙏

To my knowledge PIP is not affected by LA or NHS care package and is not means tested. It is decided based on your needs irrespective of whether they are currently being met or not.

Thank you. Any more information would be helpful x0

It won't affect any possible PIP entitlement. Although PIP isn't means tested they will include this in the financial assessment for any contribution you need to make towards any cost of care you receive.0
