PIP will it still apply at 66

in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA
I retire next year but once this happens will it continue? My health continues to get worse.

    But will the payments remain until the end of my life, if you can call the way I live a life.

    As advised by bg844 your PIP will continue for as long as you remain entitled subject to any review assessment by the DWP.

    When is your current award due to end?

    Is there anything you're finding hard going at the moment, or anything we can help with at all?

    I don't live on my own, my parents live with me and they are not in the best of health. Dads 90 & Mum is 88, dad had a stroke last year. He had to wait hours before an ambulance turned up, all together it was 11 hours before he entered the hospital. It was too late to help him, so he's now left with speech problems. Damage to the right side of his brain, I'm worried he might have dementia due to the stroke.

    Thanks for your reply @SOB. I'm sorry to hear your parent's health is declining, especially what your dad has gone through, that can't be easy for you all to manage.

    Have you spoken to your dad's GP about the worries you have around dementia?

    If you had PIP and or mobility payments and then pass retirement age you can get recalled for an assessment at anytime if your condition changes or you inform them, at assessment you can get up to the same level as you had before, I don't think they allow upgrades, like lower rates to enhanced, someone will correct that if wrong, the Government did say long term claimants would get a gentle touch when reviewed, but as things have turned out bad and we have a new team in charge that might be out the window.

    That only applies to the mobility component, Daily Living can be increased from standard to enhanced.
