Motability and award lengths

Hi everyone!
I Hope you’re all having a relaxing evening. As some of you may be aware I was recently awarded enhanced mobility following a successful MR.👏🏻
I am still waiting for the award letter and should get my back pay tomorrow 🤞🏼
I was told by the DM on the phone that my award would be for 4 years - to be reviewed in 3 years. I would really like to get a motability car but worry that I could be reviewed at any time and lose the car. Does this happen often and is it an unnecessary worry on my part?

As I am new to all this I am unsure what scenarios could arise and would appreciate some feedback on the pros and cons of motability.

There's always going to be a certain amount of worry yes but in my opinion if we constantly worry then we wouldn't do anything in life. I've had a motability car since 2016 and i'm currently on my 3rd vehicle. The only downside now is the advance payments have increased significantly over the past couple of years. Another thing is that you could be waiting quite sometime for delivery of your car because of the shortages.2

You’re very welcome. I’ve always found them very helpful! The best part is test driving those cars. The most difficult part is choosing which one. The worst part is waiting for delivery. 😂
Dont forget to take your PIP award and driving license with you to the dealers. Have fun and enjoy your new car when you do receive it!2 -

You’re welcome! Thank you also for the kind words, very much appreciated.Haha I’m not good at making decisions either, in 2019 I test drove about 11 cars before I decided 🫣😂2
