If you have any concerns you should really speak to your GP because we can't give you any medical advice. I found some information here which you may find helpful. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/knee-replacement/recovery/

@valflo I agree with Poppy, if anything feels concerning, contact your GP or ring 111 as they may be able to advise whether a visit to the nearest walk-in center or A&E would be needed.0

Yes it sounds quite normal to me.
I had a total knee replacement 8 years ago. One of the best but scariest things I've ever done.
The first 6 weeks were the worst but you should keep improving steadily now. Keep up with your physio and if your physiotherapist gives you the go ahead, wean yourself off the crutches. Maybe keep them when walking outside, especially if icy, until you get more confident.
When you say you cannot walk very far, how far do you mean? A few yards, a hundred yards, half a mile? Not very far means different things to different people.
Have you had your check up visit with your surgeon/ consultant yet?
I found that it took a year to gain full benefit from the operation.0 -
I have had an operation on my back so know how you are feeling.0

6 weeks is not long, I was still using crutches, but physio 3 times a day is essential for full movement later if you can't do it, seek medical help soon. It pays off to be vigilant now! Good luck it gets better very quickly!1
