PIP. How long does it take DWP to put the money into my bank?

Hi I just got a phone call from the DWP about PIP as I won at tribunal on November 25th and they were asking for if my bank account was right and asked if I was in prison, went on holiday or been in hospital. So my question is how long does it take DWP to put the money into my bank?

It could be Thursday or Friday yes, don’t quote me on that but it sounds as if they have sent the payment today. You’ll shortly get a letter explaining your award and details of the backpayment and any future payments too (bear in mind this will take a long while with Royal Mail striking).

@AlanBlack Well done, that sounds like positive news which I'm sure will bring some relief and help with extra costs faced.

    Have a great Christmas.

It will depend when payment is sent. Yes, they may have asked those questions but it doesn't mean payment will be sent the same day. Once it's sent it usually takes 3-5 working days but the only ones that can confirm when you'll receive it is PIP.

Hi, I received a text today from dwp saying they have received the written report from my pip assessment, but I haven’t had one? I did send quite a lot of evidence but is this common?

You will have had a paper based assessment, rare but definitely possible. Timescales for a decision now is 2-12 weeks.

I got a text from the DWP earlier saying that they have awarded me PIP and that I will get a letter explaining everything that I’m entitled to, so does that mean that they have put the payment in to my bank?

Once payment is made it takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank. You will then receive the decision letter sometime after this but with the postal strikes it may take a few weeks to arrive.
If you want to know what you've been awarded and why to expect the money into your bank you will need to ring PIP to ask.
