Pip. How long are thy taking to award

Hi I had my pip assessment this Saturday gone how long are thy taking to award

    Once the report is returned to DWP is can take up to about 12 weeks for a decision.

    Hi 
    My pip   they called Me not booking any apt take only 18 min but I send all my medical report hospital and Ot olso I have hearing problem and every week I visit Hamerton hospital mental health department I have spine problem osteoarthritis  other big problem.not fell I am double you now what I mean all medical evidence to send but I am worrying why 18 min why not given apt please please help

    Sometimes they ring to ask some questions before writing the report. Or it may have been a decision maker from DWP ringing to ask questions before making a decision. Either way, if this happens they dont usually tell you they are going to ring.

    I have had a PIP Assessment and my advice to anyone who has got an assessment coming up is make sure you are comfortable enough to be sat a while. As it's a long time they keep you in a room for and they will grill you on the question book they sent out in the post.

    I had my face to face assessment today was in and out in about 35 mins. Can’t tell how well or bad it went. I don’t feel like I was asked many valuable questions. 

    Still a bit boggled by the “what do you use the internet for” question. When she stated that my only disability is my hearing.

    It sounds frustrating that you don't feel like you were asked many valuable questions. What a boggling question!  <3

    @L_Volunteer  Was slightly frustrated with it all yesterday. I’m sure like most people, I was sat there picking my brains going over it all and wondering why certain things were not mentioned and why the questions were asked with a sort of answer from the assessor.  But today I’m all good with it. Will just have to wait now for my letter. I’m not going to ask for the assessors report until I know the outcome.

    Even if you want to challenge the decision once you get it there is no need to get the report. You will be challenging the decision not the report and poring over the report can simply be a distraction. Keys points from the report will be referred to in the decision letter and if challenging can simply, if necessary, say that the assessor has misunderstood how you are affected and then go on to explain for yourself.

    Glad you are all good with it now @sookiegirl. It doesn't half sound like a rollercoaster!

    I’m still all good with the waiting. I think life can be stressful enough without added worries. 
    I understand I will possibly be waiting a while longer due to the Christmas holidays.
