GP really do need a shake. We have all paid into the system but it seem to be crumbling at its knees.GPS are well paid but we have been short of. GPS for a number of. Years. Talking to your. Gp over the. Phone does not give the same response . The doctors should know their patient. I am trying to get a district nurse to visit my home for the flu jab., it is like getting blood out of a stone I keep ringing the surgery

Your very lucky then @woodbine I've not seen a gp for 5 years now f2f
I've had regular hospital appts and nurse appt when I have been to surgery which I only go if toby takes me to get bloods done it's like a ghost town
The district nurses come out to do my covid jabs no problem . I am also under community diabetic team only had phone appts in fact only ever seen f2f once
I guess we have to get used to this way of working now but I understand why so many go to a&e because its the only way to see à doctor but that's not what they are there for
I don't know the answer apart from more GPS needed but still think the days of f2f have ended0 -
Hi Woodbine,
Thank you for your response to my topic I have great difficulty walking I think the services of the NHS can be a bit different depending on where yo live I very rarely go to the GP0 -
I agree @Margare93222061, the NHS services can vary depending on where you live - unfortunately0

They are all different since devolution, so there are bound to be differences in how they operate. That doesn`t, however, excuse GPs from providing face-to-face appointments.Andy
