Hello, everyone I’m a total novice at claiming anything but I wonder if any of you think I could be eligible for pip. In 2012 I had breast cancer and as a result have lymphoedema in my left arm, which causes me huge  issues ie heat which particularly impacts on an6 potential job.  In Feb 2022 I had a liver transplant which went well, but I have suffered back pain ever since which is intolerable some days.  I am finding it hard to manage financially now.  Many thanks

PIP isn’t about a diagnosis or about you’re ability to work. It’s how those conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities.
No one here can tell you whether you would be able to score enough points needed for an award because we don’t know how your conditions affect you.
    There’s some information here https://pipinfo.net/

Hi @maggie116 - & welcome to the community.
As far as PIP goes, it's not about any diagnoses, but rather how your disability affects certain activities of daily living &/mobility. Have a look at the activities/descriptors that are looked at with PIP here: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/personal-independence-payment-descriptors-and-scores-april-2022.pdf

If you are finding it difficult to carry out day to day tasks with your health / conditions you have, then you should definitely apply. It isn't straightforward and at times can be frustrating.

Exactly what everyone else has said... hope it goes well. It is a long process filling the form out but put absolutely everything down, and always give at least 3 examples of each descriptor that is relevant to you.
