Can anyone help me I have been reading my assessment report and I got 10 points for mobility, cannot undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress, but this isn't true I go out I just can't go out on my own due to my sensory issues and I have communication issues, I also don't understand facial expressions, I also wear head phones when out to block out back ground noise how could I prove this as I am not good at explaining things.

Hello @mburns
How are you today? I'm sorry no one has answered your post yet, I am hoping my comment will bump it for you.
I am wondering though, if they have linked everything under psychological distress because you have communication issues and there may not have been another "section" they would have classed it under?
As it's my understanding communication disorders are considered to be under the psychology umbrella in a lot of different services.0 -
Hi Hannah yes they have linked it under psychological distress I do have anxiety before I go out but I need someone with me for safety due to my high anxiety, sensory issues that's stating I can't go out anywhere when I can as long as I have someone with me and also for communication.0
