Train drivers overpaid?

I believe that train drivers are overpaid and should face a pay cut 
Average pay is £60k
For what? 
Pressing a button every 30 seconds to prove that they are still awake!
Trains are almost fully automatic and stop at the correct point at stations automatically
A buffoon could be a train driver
