So sorry to hear about your dad @Teigr, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, I hope you're able to find some comfort in family and friends at the funeral, they are never easy to attend.  <3

My morning hasn't been too bad @66Mustang how about yours?

It was my partner's dad @Alex_Scope.

I'm not sure I'll be well enough to attend the funeral,I didn't feel too bad yesterday but I'm really struggling today.

Will they go traditional black or choose a colour? My brother in laws funeral the family chose blue. My freinds done hers to replicate xmas, so fairy lights on the coffin, each to their own. I'm a traditionalist so black for me.

This chat @Sandy_123 and @Teigr is reminding me of my own Mom's funeral, she had cancer and organised most of her funeral, she didn't want a fuss and she wanted colour as a celebration of her life, she was 82 when she died and always said she'd had a good life and wouldn't of changed a thing in giving birth to 5 of us.
We used to have lots of trips out as a family with my children and my sisters, Mom was always included. So we decided not to travel in black cars, we had a coach instead, as Mom's last trip. The funeral parlour did say Mom's cask could go on the coach with us if we wanted, but we did draw the line there. x
