Hi, pip assessment report anxiety
I’m aware this isn’t the final decision but know mostly they go with it. Would it be worth appealing against these two or is it not even worth the hassle and stress
thankyou

You can’t appeal the report. You can provide additional comments to DWP now commenting on the report if you wish to. Alternatively you can wait for the decision and then start the appeal process then by requesting a Mandatory Reconsideration of the decision.0

Hello @chelsw88. Welcome to Scope’s forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you at the moment?
Thanks for already finding the courage to reach out to us. I appreciate the courage it can take to reach out, especially when you are new and finding things difficult.
I can see Calcotti has already responded to your post though. Do you feel Calcotti’s response has provided you with the support you were hoping for?
Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s anything else we can do to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you.
Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon

Thankyou for your reply(only just found notifications) I was aware of this I was just kind of preparing myself in advance- anxiety is through the roof. I just felt like the mental health side of things has just been discredited through the a/r due to having to take my child to schoolcalcotti said:You can’t appeal the report. but as you say it’s not the final decision. I’ll just have to patiently wait. Thankyou for your reply though 0 -
Thankyou for your reply. To be honest I can see why requesting the report is not for some. I’m just now trying to patiently wait and go from there once I have the final decision. Again thankyou for replyingL_Volunteer said:Hello @chelsw88. Welcome to Scope’s forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you at the moment?

Hi @chelsw88 and welcome to the community from me.
I can understand how anxiety provoking this was for you. I wonder, would it be worth seeing a different GP or changing doctors surgeries if they haven't been helpful in the past? I appreciate it's difficult to see any doctor at present due to sheer demand, but would urge you to seek support with your mental health from a practitioner if the anxiety and depression is still having a significant impact on your life.
Good luck with the outcome of your PIP claim and remember we're always about should you need support further down the line. Take care.0 -
Thankyou for you reply, to be honest I think this is just down to me and my anxiety/perceptions rather than needing to change I find it hard to explain myself properly (I usually have to write it all down) but I should at least try.Cher_Scope said:Hi @chelsw88 and welcome to the community from me.

I got awarded today low daily living which is good, it appears they stuck with the A/R (physically they’ve understood but mentally they haven’t) is it worth doing a M/R for the parts I genuinely believed (based on above) would be awarded or not even bother?0 -
Only you can decide that. If you not sure of whether you can score more points and whether or not the extra points would get you a higher award you can seek advice.chelsw88 said: is it worth doing a M/R for the parts I genuinely believed (based on above) would be awarded or not even bother?

Thankyou I’ll have a look. Can a M/R affect the current award?calcotti said:

Yes it can, it is a complete review of the award. Obviously you want it to affect the award by increasing it. It can result in a decreased award (which I suspect is really what you were asking) but this is unusual.chelsw88 said: I’ll have a look. Can a M/R affect the current award?0 -
Thankyou I wasn’t really sure how it worked with it being a new award I’ll look into it all. Thanks againcalcotti said:

It sounds extra confusing with it being a new award @chelsw88. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything else to support you
