Your waiting period will be May to Aug.. LCWRA starts from AP Aug 21st to Sept 20th and first payment will be 27th Sept.

Any money owed will take a few week to be paid and is paid separately to your usual monthly money.

If you were working during that time and didn't have the work allowance they may owe you some extra money for this. The work allowance will apply from the assessment period in which you reported the changes.

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

That puts my mind at ease as I've read so many different things. 

I'm self-employed and I haven't worked since sending in my first sick note due to my mental health and other health conditions. 

Because I wasn't earning enough they said that I was no longer being considered as self-employed and that I was going to be classed as unemployed and needed to go out to work despite my mental health and everything else I had going on.

I turned up for a regular appointment only to find my work coach wasn't there and put me forward for the jobs fair on that day with no prior warning and I had a panic attack and broke down. 

It's hard for me to leave the house as it is, but not knowing what I was walking into and the thought of having to sit and talk to so many people, being around so many people, and being forced to get a job that I wouldn't be able to cope with mentally and emotionally broke me.

A few days after I got a note from her saying she was leaving and I got another work coach who has been fantastic. Now I'm on LCWRA that's all changed.

That's great to know.

I'm not working at the moment as I'm still recovering from surgery but I continue to do my expenses although they are nil at the moment.
