COL Payment - Am I Eligible?

I was awarded a PIP (daily living part) at the beginning of August. This was back dated from 4th April 2022.
Up to now, I haven't been awarded any COL payment(s). Please could someone let me know if I am eligible or not!
I read that you must have PIP on May 25th 2022 to qualify for a COL payment.

Yes you are because you started your claim before 25th May.You can report a missing payment here, if you haven’t already done that https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#report-a-missing-cost-of-living-payment0

Thank you @poppy123456.
I wasn't sure it was either the date of the first monthly payment or the date of which it was back dated from.0 -
You are welcome @SteveJF7. It is the very least you deserve.

Thanks @L_Volunteer.
When l report a missing payment, does this include the two payments so far or do I have submit separate claims for each missing payment?
Cheers.0 -

Cheers. You can no longer report a missing payment online because it's now closed. You'll need to ring the department for the benefits you're claiming. So if it's PIP you'll need to ring them.Whether you were entitled to the other 2 CoL payments will depend what benefits you were claiming during the eligibility criteria dates.0 -
I went online using the link above and found that claims for the two payments of £326 and £324 paid in July 2022 and November 2022 respectively were not accepted online anymore but apparently the £150 disability payment was okay to report online.poppy123456 said:SteveJF7 said:Thanks @L_Volunteer.

Should I go ahead and report the missing payment online?0 -
If you can report the £150 then yes report it.If you think you were entitled to the other two then you will need to contact the department of the benefits you claim. Did you receive a payment of the benefits listed in the relevant period?0

I am sure I not entitled to the two other benefits?
I have received no disability living costs payment(s) so far.
I started my claim for PIP on 29th April last year and posted the forms later on the same day.

If you're only claiming PIP then you won't be entitled to the other 2 payments.I already advised you almost a month ago that you were entitled to the £150, is there any reason why you haven't reported the missing payment yet?0 -
In my opening post, l only mentioned the disability cost of living payment of £150. I don't know why the other payments came into the conversation?calcotti said:
I didn't know when the second payment of disability COL payment was being paid?

It was you that mentioned the other payments. The payments going forward for the next year haven't been announced yet. If it's only PIP you currently claim then there's only 1 payment again this year.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion of the two other benefits.poppy123456 said:SteveJF7 said:

The main reason is I wanted both Christmas and New Year out of the way before l proceed further.
Also at the same time, my mum was ill in her care home so this was on my mind more than filling forms online.

I completely hear you that your mum being ill in her care home was on your mind more @SteveJF7. How is your mum at the moment?
We are all here for you and listening to you if you would like to share more with us. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you.
Please note, I am not ignoring your support needs around benefits, I am simply leaving the benefits for someone with more expertise in this area to ensure appropriate advice is provided.
Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon and supporting you further with this

Mum is getting better thanks @L_Volunteer. She still has the chest infection. I think this has intensified her dementia? However this is for another forum!L_Volunteer said:I completely hear you that your mum being ill in her care home was on your mind more @SteveJF7. How is your mum at the moment?

Some good news in that I received the £150 disability COL payment in my bank account today.0 -
Glad to hear your mum is getting better @SteveJF7. However, it sounds difficult that your mum still has the chest infection and you feel it may have intensified her dementia

How are you coping with all this at the moment? I know it can be really difficult to see our loved ones struggle.
Really happy for you though that you received the £150 disability COL payment in your bank account - yay! What a relief
