What is deemed a ‘prolonged’ period during the night?
I’m up for 30-60 minutes every night to empty my 4 year olds colostomy, change his nappy, resettle him (he body rocks - ASD) etc.
DWP mandatory reconsideration said this isn’t a prolonged period?

For the higher rate of care DLA then your child would need to have care/supervision frequently in both day and night. I wouldn't say 30-60 minutes a night is frequently. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/disability-living-allowance/before-you-claim-dla/claiming-dla/

Sorry I thought it was prolonged or frequent attention, not both.Night-time testTo satisfy the night-time test, your child must need one of the following:help with personal care at least twice a night, or once a night for at least 20 minutesor someone to check on them at least twice a night, or once a night for at least 20 minutes to make sure they are safe.
