    As it says on the NHS's own website:
    Cerebral palsy is the name for a group of lifelong conditions that affect movement and co-ordination. It's caused by a problem with the brain that develops before, during or soon after birth.
    I'd ask for another Doctor.

    @Wibbles, you are correct. You cannot develop CP in later life.

    And would you not expect a Urololgy consultant to know that ?

    Poor NHS  care extends to more than just myself
    My wife / carer - was due to attend a clinic at her GP, yesterday for diabetes blood tests - she turned up in plenty of time only to receive a txt (WHILE she was sitting in the car - just about to walk in to the surgery)
    it said "Sorry - your appointment has been cancelled for unforseen reasons"
    She went in - to be told by reception that a patient had collapsed and the blood taking nurse had gone with her to hospital.
    How ridiculous a situation
    I would imagine that there must be others that could have gone with this person - and similarly - others who could take blood.
    She was told to go to the hospital to give blood
    So we drove to the hospital - only to discover that the (free of charge) blue badge parking spaces were all taken up and the only spaces were on the 4th (top) floor - and with no lift - I had to stay in the car !
    So we had to pay £3.50 for parking for 1/2 hour !

    Thats ridiculous we have similar problems at one of the hospitals I go too.
