ESA SG to UC

Had to a response to my journal message about me telling them I'm on ESA, "Thanks for informing us, once your identify has been verified this information should pull through to your claim"0
-
Had my Biographical telephone appointment lasted about 15 minutes, answered name/dob/security question for online UC account, national insurance number. Advisor said he can see I am on ESA Support Group with SDP/EDP and that will now be transferred over to UC once they've gotten the information passed over from the ESA department should receieve a commitment message in my journal within 1 week that I have to access and confirm. Pretty straight forward reckon I was worrying abit too much0

I'm glad to hear that you found it straight forward @Housebound94! I hope that you're able to relax this weekend, now

So my claim for UC was started on the 10th Jan, had my Biographical appointment 13th which the agent who did the telephone call put on my journal that he can see I am in receipt of ESA SG, does anyone have an idea how long it takes for the ESA SG to be transferred over UC?0

It should hopefully be done by the time you have your first statement. Your assessment periods are 10th to 9th of each month. Your first payment will be 16th Feb and you should receive your statement around 3 or 4 days before that. Check your statement when you have it.In the meantime once the details have been passed across your commiments will change and you'll need to agree to them. So that will be an indication it's completed.1

So am I worrying too much with it only being a week after my identity confirmation appointment?poppy123456 said:It should hopefully be done by the time you have your first statement. Yes. You won't really know for certain until you have your first statement.

Finally got my claiment commitment through yesterday morning, 2 weeks after my Biographical appointment. All work related things have been removed from my online UC account so I'm guessing that's confirmation ESA has been transferred over. I took out a advance few days after I applied for UC which was for £334, upon checking my available advance now says I'm eligible for another £354... So that should be the LWCRA. I've added a note into my journal to ask if the SDP element has been added to my claim so will have to wait till Monday to check but all running smoothly so far0

I'm glad to hear, thanks for updating us all @Housebound94, hope you get confirmation in your journal next week

Hmm abit confused thought my ESA would continue to be paid for 2 weeks after signing up for UC, so claim started 10th Jan, 13th Jan Biographical appointment, 27th claimant commitment and work related things turned off in the online UC account. Yet today I got paid my full ESA SG £409.50? Weird0
-
That sounds like a mistake. Your last ESA payment was on 17th January? You should then have had a further payment for another 7 days not a full fortnightly payment.Housebound94 said:Hmm abit confused thought my ESA would continue to be paid for 2 weeks after signing up for UC, so claim started 10th Jan, 13th Jan Biographical appointment, 27th claimant commitment and work related things turned off in the online UC account. Typo, that should be £235.20/fortnight.calcotti said:Housebound94 said:Hmm abit confused thought my ESA would continue to be paid for 2 weeks after signing up for UC, so claim started 10th Jan, 13th Jan Biographical appointment, 27th claimant commitment and work related things turned off in the online UC account. So you will get ESA payments but not as much as you used to get.Housebound94 said:

Yeah it took 2 weeks after my identity appointment for ESA to transfer everything over. Il await my next 2 week payment, also I’ve reported my house move to UC into a council flat today before my assessment period ends…Do I need to ring ESA aswell cos Il still get paid the CB portion?0
-
Housebound94 said:Do I need to ring ESA aswell cos Il still get paid the CB portion?
No, not for your housing element. This doesn't affect your ESA.

I meant just to notify them of address change as the ESA department are still paying my CB based ESA?poppy123456 said:Housebound94 said:Do I need to ring ESA aswell cos Il still get paid the CB portion?

Ok I've just rung the ESA department and the automated service said my next ESA payment is 14th of Feb for £235.20 that sounds right?0
-
Yes, ring them for the change of address, apologies, i didn't think of that.Housebound94 said:Ok I've just rung the ESA department and the automated service said my next ESA payment is 14th of Feb for £235.20 that sounds right?
That's correct.0
