They are often random checks.0

We can't tell you why you've been sent this. You can ring the number on the letter and ask them what it's related to and they maybe able to give you some more information. You need to make sure you attend the interview (even if it's a phone call) otherwise any benefits it's related to could be suspended.

Were you meant to post a comment? You’ve quoted my comment and nothing else.0

The letter I received does not have a telephone number only a textphone number so I was not sure who to call so I have had the usual 1 hour wait trying to get through to the number I thought I needed to call. I only claim ESA contribution based and PIP so I gave ESA number a call and a very helpful gentleman took my call and all my details and his answer to my question was that there was nothing at all on the system about me having a compliance telephone interview . I will have to call the number for PIP which will be another hours wait and then getting cut off and then call again and be on hold for another hour we all know this scenario I’m sure.
I do know that my PIP review form is with an assessor they received it on 17th of last month which I sent to them 15 months ago so possibly it is something to do with that.

I wouldn't bother ringing pip they don't do compliance interviews so it won't be that0

I have known people have compliance interviews for PIP. It could also be related to your ESA, even though it's New style ESA. I don't know if either ESA or PIP will know about the interview.

I've never heard of pip doing them so yes hearsay
Lots of other members have been posting recently about these compliance interviews and they are all esa or uc have a look at the other threads as some have had them and posted after them to say the outcome0
