Council tax reduction?

Hi there lovely people,
I’m confused about how much council tax reduction I should be eligible for.
I receive UC, housing benefit element, and PIP(enhanced for both daily living and mobility). I am unable to work. My 25 year old son lives with me , he works from home, and carers for me.
Will we both be disregarded for council tax purposes? Should I be getting a 50% reduction?
Any advice or help much appreciated.

Your CTR entitlement will be based on your UC and they will use your UC to calculate any CTR you're entitled to. All local Authorities have their own rules for CTR so i can't advise on that.

If you and your son are the only 2 adults in the house then your son can apply for a carers discount of 25%, you will then be classed as the only adult in the house so this will be equivelant to single person discount.
Single person discount is completely different to council tax reduction.

Thanks so much for reply, I thought my son would be a “disregarded” person as he is my carer.

Indeed, that's where the 25% discount comes from because he's your carer, as i advised above (provding you're the only 2 adults in the house). Claiming PIP yourself doesn't automatically entitle you to any disregard for yourself.
