Hi there. I need some help understanding my LCWRA and if i am entitled to any backpay. I started off sick and providing fit notes from March 2022, applied for LCWRA in August 2022. Had the assessment done in January 2023 and had it approved in Feb 2023. I have had constant fit notes since March 2022. How do I work out if I am due any back payments and if I am entitled to any. I am getting conflicting advice. Can anyone please help clarify this for me.

There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note.It will be from either July or Aug 2022. Depending on the exact date you sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your money each month.0
