Universal credit journal

edited February 2023 in Universal Credit (UC)
I have received two messages this morning of UC and they’re causing me a lot of anxiety as it’s making me feel like they are going to stop my payments. One was to report my earnings from my employer, which have not changed recently. The other was to accept my commitments and information on reduced payments sanctions. I work and have done for 6 years at the same place roughly earning the same amount. I don’t know what to think?

There’s a system glitch for Universal Credit and loads of other people have the same message to report earnings. I personally would go ahead and accept the commitments and report earnings (even though it wouldn’t really matter anyway, I understand the deadline is today and it removes the risk of your claim being closed).

Thank you so much bg844. I immediately reported my earnings and accepted the commitments. But it was worrying me greatly until I read your reply. Thanks for taking your time to share your knowledge. As I have worked the same job and nothings changed I can see how it could be just a mistake 😊
