Hello.
I was hoping somebody could help me 🙏 l have just put a UC claim in for my Son who has Autism, he was verified this Morning, l am his Appointee and have a work coach ringing next week, he has an EHCP and is under Active social care, will he have work commitments switched of due to his EHCP or is this not taken into consideration.

His EHCP will not mean his work commitments will be turned off. When claiming UC you’re classed as a job seeker until a decision is made on your work capability assessment. It’s a work coaches discretion whether they turn off or reduce work commitments, so do and others don’t.The EHCP is really only beneficial when still in education. Is he still in full time education?0

He is at the moment, he's just doing Personal studies, he also has a SW from Active social care.0 -
Full time students can only claim UC in certain circumstances. If he lives at home with you and has parental support then he won’t be able to claim. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-and-students0
