I am receiving Zero Award for UC, does this mean I will receive zero award for LCWRA also?

    I’m really sorry to piggy back on someone else’s question but I haven’t worked out how to post my own question…..one of the joys of brain fog.
    My question is this…..back in April of last year I applied for UC and although I was accepted was granted a Zero Award as I was receiving a benefit from overseas which put me slightly over the threshold. That coupled with the fact that I am a good saver and have a healthy bank balance also meant that they were then deducting some money from my zero award!!!
    I have been turning in a sick note every 3 months and have just this week been told that I am now to be classed as LCWRA.
    if I am receiving Zero Award for UC, does this mean I will also receive zero award for LCWRA as well?
    if anyone could answer this question I would be very grateful.
    Plus maybe a bit of coaching on how to start up my own discussion.

    They can't make further deductions from a zero award because once your award is zero there's nothing left to deduct anything from.

    LCWRA element (£354.28/month) is part of UC so whether there's any entitlement now will depend on your circumstances. The extra money is paid from the 4th month after you first reported your health condition. Providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decision is made on your WCA.

    Is your award still being reduced to zero? Whether there's any entitlement now will depend on your circumstances.

    Thank you for getting back to me. 
    Sorry I didn’t word it very well when I mentioned about deductions being made from my zero award. In fact no deductions are being physically made but it’s just the way UC word it. 
    Anyway, since I applied and was accepted the only difference in my circumstances is that I recently started receiving PIP, but the lower part of the daily component.
    I just wonder wether I will actually benefit in any way from LCWRA or not.
    Hope that makes more sense.

    I have no idea because you haven’t given enough of information for me to advise whether there’s now any entitlement. 

    I don’t know what your maximum UC entitlement. What deductions exactly there is and how much those deductions are.
