Morning @Tina12 do you mind me asking is yours in the early stages darling ?
I have always suffered with my spine, first diagnosed when i was 30, with disc's and curviture, never let it bet me tho, i carried on working till i was 64 thats when the stenosis took over, the hospital was looking at operating but my spine is to unstable for that, keep up with the excercises that will help, even when your not in pain, but i do know how difficult it can be when your in a lot of pain.0 -
PS - i didn't go for PIP till i was to ill to work, can't walk far now, but i still try to keep active as the hospital has said to try and walk through the pain so i don't start having problems with muscles.0

@SueHeath hiThank you for letting me know no and sorry to hear that you've had the condition for so long
I have only recently been diagnosed but as they said I've probably had it for a while as my pains got worse last year.. I am 50 this year soon.. I also have fibromyalgia and endometriosis stage 4/5.. which makes pain even worse there are some days I can't go out at all due to so much pain, I've had endometriosis for 20 years now which affects so much of your organs and most of your body in many ways.. I'm glad to hear you have pip.. I did apply and did not get it . But I will reapply some point.. now I understand it more how to apply for that..

Hi @Tina12 did you put how your conditions effect you on the forms? I have ddd too with curvature, was diagnosed about 20 years ago with the discs and narrowing of the spine canal, the curve I've always had. Seem to have relapses where I can't do anything or walk, without relapses, I'm very limited in what I can do. That with everything else on top0

Hi, I was diagnosed with the loss of lumbar curvature and a slight herniated disc at L5, I started to workout my back muscles and in about 2 months time I see a lot of improvement and I went for a lumbar MRI then they told me they can not see a herniated disc. I am not sure if my experience can help someone with a bulged disc but maybe you can talk to your doctor about the idea of back excercise and see what they say.1

Hi @ThutmoseChen welcome to the group.
Yes i agree i have had years with physio help, manipulation and acupunture, unfortinatly there is no magic cure for me but i do still carry on with some of my excercises as it does help with support to muscles, posture etc. so thanks for the reminder.
I hope your well on this Sunday evening and enjoy the group.1 -
Thank you Sue, I wish you a lovely Sunday evening as well!0

Hi @ThutmoseChen
Thank you so much for your comment and support and advice I have just recently been diagnosed but I'm also getting well support from the physiotherapy I have my appointment on Wednesday and more advanced appointment this time it's the first time I've heard of all thhese different spine discs and stenosis and so on when the doctor gave me the results I had to Google everything lol I had no idea what most of it meant with L 4 L 5 2L L3.... AND BULGE and more.. it takes a while to get your head around all this .. I will try to do some yoga and more walking with my walking sticks hopefully it won't hurt to much 🙏0 -

Yes I did tell them everything and sent lots of evidence but still no and they lied ...I did the M R to still no ..Did you request the Tribunal for that decision? If not was there any reason why? If the decision on that MR was less than 13 months ago then you can still request it. If you're outside of the 1 month timescale you need to make sure you state why you didn't request it within the first month. It's very unlikely they will refuse a late request. They will not take into consideration any worsening of condition. For any other benefits as you're already claiming UC with LCVWRA element then other than PIP and council tax reduction there's no other benefits possible to claim.1 -
Thankyou @poppy1234560
