edited February 2023 in PIP, DLA, ADP and AA
I just wanted to post this for anyone googling away like I did for weeks on end, I found lots of posts on anxiety and pip but nearly nothing on HS.
I suffer from generalised anxiety disorder, and HS (hidradenitis suppurativa) which is a long term chronic condition.
After my company sick pay ran out, I was advised to apply for pip. I put in an online application on January 6th and sent in around 20 pages of evidence from my GP, therapist, and screnshots of appointments and medications from my online GP portal. Had my phone assessment on the 19th, and had a text to confirm they had recieved the written report on the 29th.
On 9th Feb I had a message to say I had been awarded PIP.
Today (13th) I receieved the back pay. I'm not sure what amount I have been awarded yet as awaiting the letter.

Hope so @dannib72 thanks for sharing your own PIP timeline with @enayohemi, and it's lovely to hear you've been awarded and received back pay @enayohemi.

Your letter should have all the details, but if you do have any other questions, let us know!

    Congratulations.

I'm a long time sufferer of HS and I feel your pain.

Back when I applied back in 2017 not many people including medicals were aware of HS and the severity of it and how deliberating it is.

    X
