Contributions based ESA isn’t affected by living with a working partner. Are you 100% sure that all of your ESA is contributions based? Are you claiming any other benefits?0

As far as l am concerned it is, l get no other benifits, l also pay full rent and council tax0

In a previous thread here https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/102190/hi-my-name-is-geordie-will-l-still-get-esa-when-l-marry#latest you said you also have a pension, which is being deducted from your ESA.You also said your partner works full time. If you're living with your partner already then getting married will not change your benefits entitlement.New claims for housing benefit are no longer possible unless living in either supported or temporary housing. To claim for help with any rent then you'll need to claim Universal Credit. If you're living with your partner then you'll need to claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration. If you have savings/capital of more then £16,000 you're excluded from claiming.Your ESA and pension will both be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on your joint circumstances. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/Intro/Home?cid=6ae57125-06f6-4aa1-b3fa-031529e72bc8 or you can speak to an advice agency near you for a full benefits check.
