Hi just looking for some advise I’ve just been awarded for  my work incapcity been handing in fit notes 2021 Was wondering if I get any back pay

    You've not given any information for anyone to be able to advise you. What was the decision?

    If the decision was just Limited capability for work. (LCW) There's no extra money each month.

    If the decision was Limited Capability for work Related Activity. (LCWRA) Then there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. Providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on your WCA.

    If the decision was LCWRA then what date exactly did you report your health condition/send your first fit note? What date do you usually receive your money each month?

    Was the lcwra I recieved my first payment on the 9th with my universal and been handing in fit note since April 2021

    So your first payment will be either Aug or Sept 2021. Can't tell you exactly when it's paid from because you haven't told me the exact date you sent your first fit note as i asked. April 2021 doesn't help.

    Any money owed will be paid separately and can take quite a few weeks to pay what is owed.

    This means your waiting period will be May to August 2021... LCWRA start from assessment period 3rd Aug to 2nd Sept and first payment would be 9th Sept 2021.

    Thanks uc messaged me Friday saying what they owe me and will put it in my bank account. Any advise on when I will recieve it

    It takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank from the date payment is sent.
