When my mother died I followed her wishes to the letter @Sandy_123,I even banned someone from her funeral because she had said she didn't want them there.0
-
Gosh really how did that person take it0
-
Hi @ada sorry you suffered so much last night hope tonight is better
On the subject of after life wishes both my parents wish was to donate their bodies to science we did this with my dad it wasn't my wish but I respected it was his and my mum still wanted that for him. I personally found it tough as mum decided she didn't want notifying of when they had completed or have his ashes after cremation . We just got a letter saying where his ashes had been scattered and a memorial plaque placed .
Mum can no longer donate her body due to her medical condition
Personally I would have liked to have scattered dad's ashes somewhere that meant something to him but respected his and mum's wishes1 -
Its hard isn't @janer1967 having to take a step back to cater for some ones wishes. I was a bit put out when a colleague died a few months ago and her husband had the funeral before I was told its not what she would of wanted0

It is hard @Sandy_123 dad died suddenly and I felt I hadn't said my goodbye
What a morbid subject we have moved onto0 -
She lives abroad @Sandy_123 and her actual address and contact details are a closely guarded secret so I had to ask her son to tell her to stay away.
I doubt she was happy about it but she always looked down her nose at my parents despite the fact that they practically raised her so her feelings were of no concern to me.

I don't find it morbid it's good to talk about these things
You could have a tree or bush planted in the garden in his honour something to watch grow, I know alot of people find comfort in that0 -
My mother wanted her ashes scattered in the Preselis @janer1967 because that's where her father's ashes were scattered. My father never made his wishes clear so we scattered some in the woods where he walked his dog every day and some in our garden.
He had dementia but one of the only things he had a clear and happy memory of was working in our garden when we first moved into our house.0 -
Been raining here
I have tinnitus. Its bad tonight
I feel achy and worn out0 -
In my opinion I would discuss my wishes with my loved ones and yes it would be my ultimate decision but I think their wishes should be considered as well after all they will be the ones left behind to deal with it at a time they will not be thinking rationally.1

Haven’t been on all day. Because last night during play my restless legs syndrome started yet again until 7am yep 7am this morning.
It’s completely draining right up there with my other stupid demons. I have had this problem for over thirty years.
When It first started I could afford weekly acupuncture which would help with other demons and keep them at bay from one week to the next week. It was fabulous.
But once I spent all my savings I had to suffer.
It normally comes on unexpectedly once or twice a week with few weeks in between. Yet I’m getting it every pooping night. From a hour or like last night All night.
I don’t cry. I hold my head in my hands and the noise that comes out of my mouth you would think I was having a baby. Lol.
Its combination of pain shaking and mental torture
after thirty years I should be use to it but it’s hell itself.
Not slept at all yet. So pretty tired won’t sleep until meds work later. If legs don’t start again tonight.

Morning all you lovely people, hope you all wake up well and pain free.
Some very good chats on here last night, yes morbid but it is something we believe must be shared, with family members, it does help make planning a service after easier for the loved ones after the death. I really do feel for you as well @janer1967 with how things were around your own fathers death.
