So I took plunge rang uc to gain carers element, he's put it to a cse manager it says, does this mean that he will have done a change of circumstances on his side?? Nothing on journal just it's gone to case manager,I would think this means to award it or not??? I explained I care for hubby 35 hours plus and only work ptime as a result although I have health issues and lcw myself he gets the lcwra so I want to claim carers element, if he's done over phone is that sufficient or would it not say change of circumstances confused

If your claim is a phone claim then just calling them is fine.0

It's phone and online journal,so will she tell me to do on journal0

You have a journal so you could have just reported the changes in there. It’s gone to a decision maker because that’s the process and only a decision maker can make that decision. Working is irrelevant to carers element anyway because there’s no earnings limit.0

Do I still need to do on journal do u think?0

Is case manager decision maker then??0

Will it mess it up or shall I leave see what she says?0

You can report a change of circumstances and then tell them that you care for him, it makes no difference whether it’s by phone or on your journal. Doing it on your journal is easier than ringing. Case manager/decision maker are the same thing.1

If I did by phone then and he's sent to case manager should it be going through,it just didn't say"" change of circumstances "" that's all like I say I told him he had been on pip since July 20200

Should I do on journal also as a "" just in case""0
