What benefits do you claim for yourself?

As your nan is state pension age is she living with a partner that under state pension age? If she isn't then she won't be claiming Universal Credit because it's a working age benefit. She will be claiming her state pension and maybe pension credit but it will depend on her circumstances. Does your nan claim a disability benefit such as PIP daily living, DLA mid/high rate care or AA?

Does she rent her home or own it?

It’s very difficult to advise without full information.poppy asked you a number of questions.

Your Nan is 70 and gets State Pension. Does she receive any disability benefit? Does she claim Pension Credit? Does she own or rent her home? If she rents is rented from the local authority or housing association or from a private landlord.

You claim PIP and Universal Credit and have a child who is presumably living with you too.

One thing that will have changed is that your Nan was presumably getting a single person discount on her Council Tax bill. If so she needs the local authority that you are living there. She will lose the discount.
